Advocate USA Publishing Calls for Position from Denomination

“This is an important request because it will double the impact of the message of Crossing Twice if the denomination accepts it into its library or denounces the work as liberal and biased,” says Rick Setter of Advocate USA Publishing.
Crossing Twice: Answers from the Source is the experiential account of Reece Manley’s near death experience in 2008. Dr. Manley died from a MRSA pneumonia making the gay near death experience a topic for the book. “Do gays go to heaven? Is there a hell? Is there a heaven?”, I tried to answer the questions I knew readers would wonder.
Advocate USA Publishing has been the recognized small publishing house for the work continuing to produce the work Crossing Twice despite the controversy of the book. “We have been threatened by the groups out there who are focused on hate such as Fred Phelps,” says Rick Setter of Advocate USA.
If the UCoC does attach its approval by adding the work to its library, it will be the first gay near death experience work officially accepted by the organization. It will also be a statement of inclusion not yet signaled by any other Protestant denomination.
